Re: Is there anybody... OUT THERE?

I was still using mine but only to view files from my PC.

I say I was as it does not register on the network any more. I'd set a manual IP address and now can't seem to clear it (if that's the problem ?)
And I haven't got down on my knees to fiddle with the ethernet cables/homeplugs yet.

Re: There is life in the old girl yet

A few months ago I was having terrible reception issues. It was worse when viewing via the 3view so I convinced myself that it was the problem. I replaced it with a Humax FVP4000 as it seemed the only thing out there. It seemed to clear up the problem but it returned and then cleared up again. So it...

Re: Interference

looks like the box is not ready to die yet. I pulled it out of the cabinet and propped it on a box and reconnected the aerial. There was NO interference. I then pushed it back on top of the DVD/surround sound machine and the interference started up again. I have found a position where everything is ...

Re: Interference

Thanks Barry but I am assuming the problem lies in the aerial loop-through area of the box.

I do seem to record more than I watch !!

Interference

I might be the last person using a 3view but it's about to come to an end. We've had a few reception problems over the last few years so when there was glitching on the some channels the other day I thought nothing of it. Then I noticed that it was worse whilst the box was on (but only while watchin...

Re: Boot looping

Sorry to hear about your box Beeley. Mine is still working as it has done for the last 3 years (*touches large forest of wood*) ie there is the occasional lockup and only one tuner can record but the EPG updates overnight on Codgev2 fine. My channel list is not edited as far as I can remember. We've...

Re: Codgev2 - status update

Hi Beeley Mine is pretty much the same as it has been for the last couple of years. Mostly works OK, sometimes it is stuck in EPG mode in the morning and occasionally it randomly lock-ups (like this morning as I set a recording). Have you tried switching back to 'normal' mode for the times you want ...

Re: Seasons greetings all !!

@ricinus - why's your box so lazy that it only does single recordings? Though if you have actually found two things to watch in these Xmas schedules you have done well. you make a good point there but my Dad is down and he doesn't like anything we do so it's best if I record at least some of it. I ...

Re: Seasons greetings all !!

Hi Barry and Kev Merry Christmas This is the hardest time of the year for my 3view - with it only being able to record one thing at a time (and further to that all the repeats that get picked up as duplicate clashing recordings). It is especially bad as now the USB tuner on my PC has broken too. I w...
