Can't get out of the compacting reboot loop in epg mode (trying to populate a now empty guide). normal mode compacts but then the box stops responding after a while. It then gets stuck in reboot loop even in no...

Re: Tuner/Signal Problems?

If I remember correctly I couldn't get at the recordings whilst in Maintenance Mode. I could telnet in but the PVR directory was not there.

Re: compacting local database?

Five days without a reboot and five days without compacting.

Then I had a lockup and had to telnet reboot. I deleted a recording and got 'Compating'. The box then restarted itself and I got the same as in the photo in my previous post. grrrr!

Re: SMB share gone awol

I only really mentioned this in passing and didn't want to drag the thread away from the OP. With the 'My Videos/Network/3view Media Server' missing I could still play videos from my PC on the box. I know it usually returns after a reboot but I have disabled overnight EPG update due to the compactin...

Re: SMB share gone awol

It is not appearing in the "My Videos/Network" section, which is how I spotted it.
I know it usually returns after a reboot but I have disabled overnight EPG update due to the compacting database issue I have - I will turn it back on soon and see if the media server returns again.

Re: SMB share gone awol

My box keeps losing its own 3view Media Server so I can't see the box using the Barry recommended Skifta my tablet.

Re: Tuner/Signal Problems?

Is the process as folows: 1. Boot into maintenance mode 2. Load last official firmware 3. Load CodgeV2 Yes - I did it all with the aerial out. In terms of copying the files from the 3view unit to another drive (I have an empty 1T external USB drive I could use) does this take place after step 2 or ...

Re: Tuner/Signal Problems?

I managed to rescue my box via the maintenance menu without losing the recordings.

Re: New HD channels - December 2013

my box has automatically picked up the BBCThree HD and CBBC HD without a manual retune. However, there is no sign of BBC Four HD and CBeebies HD so I was begining to think I might need to do a retune to get them. That's the same for me on Sutton Coldfield. The latter two are transmitted from there ...

Mine have always shown NO bars - even the brand new BBC3HD. All the SD channels have 4 bars I think.
